Engagement & Reporting

Why this page exists

A directory full of names doesn't tell you whether the network is actually alive. This page is the pulse: how many members are active, how much mentoring is actually happening, and a running log of touchpoints — who showed up, who gave, who finished a match — worth having on record for its own sake, or for reporting back to BSCF leadership.

Recording an engagement

Some engagement happens automatically — an RSVP records itself. Other things worth tracking don't: someone showing up in person without RSVPing, a completed mentoring match, a gift given outside the site, or anything else worth a note on someone's history.

  1. 1Go to Admin → Engagement.
  2. 2Under Record an engagement, pick the person, a type (event attended, match completed, contribution, other), optionally the specific event, a date, and a note.
  3. 3Save. It now appears in the log below and counts toward the stats above.

Searching and cleaning up the log

The table below is searchable by person or note, and filterable by type. Every row can be deleted — useful for correcting a mis-entered record.

Good to know — this is a record-keeping tool, not a financial one — a “contribution” logged here is a note that a gift happened; the actual transaction always runs through Andrews University's own giving portal (see Projects & Campaigns).
