Why this page exists
Alumni post what they're willing to give; students and alumni post what they're looking for. Neither side matches themselves — an admin looks at an open need, picks a compatible offer, and proposes the pairing. That human step is deliberate: it's a chance to sanity-check the fit before two people are ever introduced.

- 1Go to Admin → Matches — Open needs lists everything currently unmatched, each with a dropdown of offers compatible by type.
- 2Pick an offer and Propose. Both people now see it in their own My matches.
- 3Each side accepts or declines independently. Contact info only unlocks once both have said yes.
The consent gate — why some needs don't show up
Only offers and needs from people who've turned on matchablein their own Profile → Privacy & matching are eligible to propose. If some open needs are hidden, the page tells you how many and why — the requester hasn't opted in yet, so there's nothing to propose until they do. Needs an admin posts directly (with no requester) skip this gate, since the admin created it deliberately on someone's behalf.
All matches
Below the open-needs list, a table of every match ever proposed shows both sides, status, and who proposed it. Withdraw cancels a match and reopens its need for a fresh proposal — useful if a pairing turns out not to be the right fit before either side has acted on it.
